The Learning Focus: The role that a significant individual or group played in shaping a colony:for example, explorers, farmers, entrepreneurs, artists, writers, humanitarians, religious and political leaders, and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples.


At the end of the lesson the students would be able to identify and pass comment of the role an elder played in a traditional Aboriginal clan.

They would be able to pass comment on the impact colonisation had on the traditional Aboriginal social justice.
