I’ve been at this whole interactive / graphic design shabang for close to a decade. I started out doing mostly print design of which 3 of my very first professional projects were published in Rockport Publisher’s “Best of Brochure Design 8 and 9“. Out of necessity I started doing interactive work early on in my career, quickly fell in love and have been happily married since. Being a musician for the better part of my adult life, I acquired experience and knowledge that eventually led to artist management. As a manager I was able to not only connect with amazing artists, but also bring my design passion to meet their needs. The overall experience was a tremendous exercise of networking and custom projects, while acquiring a vast knowledge of time management. Ultimately, the effort ended up overweighing the payoff and moved on to work more suitable to my current needs. While working in the music business, it became painfully obvious to me that keeping an artist’s website up-to-date was a nightmare, even with the available technologies. I took matters in my own hands and with the help of my good friend Jeremiah Talamantes, we architected, designed and developed a band website platform called eBandLive. Interaction design is not simply my job, its my passion. I love and embrace every single piece of the puzzle, from information architecture to application design to user interface design to application architecture and design, I can and highly enjoy doing it all. In addition to interactive work, I quite enjoy playing bass in Standard Thompson and hanging out with my 7-year-old son.
