I am a teacher of English learners at a STEM elementary school in Minnesota. I am passionate about using technology to provide authentic and relevant ways for students to produce and interact with language.

I love teaching English. I have always enjoyed writing and received an award for Best Creative Writer in college. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics from The University of the West Indies and a Post Graduate certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from Hamline University. I recently taught English as a Second Language at Lincoln Adult Education Center in Minneapolis. I have also taught High School English and Spanish in Trinidad and North Carolina. The combination of my experience and education has really helped me to I understand what a student wants in an English lesson.
I love collaborating with teachers on how to integrate technology into their classrooms to engage students. I am the Technology Integrationist for a school district and a former English Language teacher in a primary setting. I see myself as a life long learner and enjoy traveling in my free time. I completed my first Masters in Teaching and Learning in May of 2012 and am currently work on a masters in Information Technologies.
