I am a poet with a published poem via United Press. I study online with OU though my essays are not to their liking and trying to help myself to be to their standard.
I study Creative Writing and Literature. I am interested in Law, Psychology, Education, Theatre.
I would like to gain a lot of knowledge and help me write the book I am enduring.
I have been out of practice and is trying to find solutions to help me ready to aid me when I take another course.
I am a sucker for knowledge, crossword puzzles, brain training games are interesting. I like a challenge. I like reading, writing and finding new things to feed my brain.
I encountered Spanish at school but never got to finish it, I was good at it and would like to experience it again.
I eventually would like to teach Literature and Creative Writing, but have extra knowledge too.
I am currently pursuing a BS in computer science and geology, at the University of Utah. My 10 greatest loves in life are: spelling bees, obscure imported european techno, delicious food, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Veronica Mars, 24, Alias, science, math and art history. I hope to contribute to and gain from this site, as I know it is really hard to learn something the first time and making that easier for myself and others is simply a brilliant idea!
For the past 20 years, I have been engaged as an educational researcher, evaluator and professor of educational policy. Areas of expertise include education reform, policy implementation and effectiveness, post-secondary attainment and socio-economic disadvantage. My publications address the social institutions and policies designed to promote educational advancement for students, especially the socially disadvantaged. Teaching and research associations over the past 20 years include the University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign, University of Minnesota and Stanford University. I hold a Ph. D. and M.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a B.A. from Lawrence University.
