Bio

Emphasis on student creativity in all areas of K-12 with coaching athletics as well, sharing my knowledge in teaching Native American students to follow opportunities so they may choose a better life. My passion lies in teaching Native American children, growing up with all the diversities young children have to face on reservations, I faced them all, Alcoholism in the family, bullying, racism, gangs, death, and of course poverty. I grew up at one time very poor with my sister Zellnor and brother Aaron, I remember at times with mom working, we had to cook and care for ourselves most of the time, even going to school within a different tribe, I remember fighting almost every other day. smh,.. I faced various obstacles coming from and living in the city of Downtown Phoenix, AZ. I had great parents though, the Alcoholism stopped with my father and we grew as a family, with my siblings and I, we obtained high honors in high school, military and college, we excelled and we all have our college degrees. My late Father Mr. Bob Yazzie Gonnie Sr. of Keams Canyon, AZ was a huge influence in my life, he was exceptional in helping and understanding people. I had other influences throughout the years such as my late Grandmother Hattie Harris who taught me to always "pray for your enemies" or the late Roy Track Sr. a great wise motivator, basketball coach and friend. Mr. Richard Diplamero my first college professor.

Associated in the education field for 21 years, former Marine stationed in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, Japan, and South Korea. I enjoy running, biking, all sports, and of course being a fan in the stands.

keeping active is especially important, traveling is best, and researching ways to increase knowledge and networking to tackle diversity.

Enjoy world culture and sharing my Apache and Navajo ways of living as well.
