Chris Kozak

Subject(s): Music

Grade(s): Middle School

Having lived and worked in Japan for over fifteen years as a teacher and musician, Chris knows the value of excellent teaching methods and the process of learning being as important as the product. Besides learning about the intrinsic aesthetic appeal of art and music, Chris believes that integrating social issues such as the environment, human rights, and science into the music class can be a powerful motivator to create works that compel us to ask questions about our world. By working with technology, music students can peer-assess and critique globally, learning skills faster so that music with meaning can be made, enjoyed, and shared.
