I graduated from Montclair State University with a B.S. in Biology, minors in Chemistry and Mathematics, and my teaching certification. In addition to the coursework, I worked in a biochemical lab while at school and an active medical practice that I still work at. I have an interest in effectively integrating technology into the classroom. My goal is to constantly encourage skillful, and creative thinking into my classrooms and to incorporate science activities both inside and outside of the classroom. I try my hardest to engage students and to make learning feel like play. I have a huge desire to share my enthusiasm with other educators and to change the dynamics of the traditional classroom. In my teaching, I am endeavoring to include flipped methodologies inside my curricula and to also utilize multimedia components to enhance and further student exploration and knowledge. In my classroom, my students take responsibility for their learning, not just a sedentary role. I expect this out of each and every one of them, not because it is the new way of learning; but rather it is because it will open doors for them and encourage independent exploration of information.
