I am the General Education Coordinator at the Blaine Campus of Rasmussen College. In addition to overseeing the campus's General Education program, I have taught the following courses: English Composition, Humanities, Creative Writing, Film Appreciation, Introduction to Literature, and Visual Communications in the Media. I hold an M.F.A in Creative Writing (Poetry) from the University of Houston and a B.A. in English from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. My educational interests include exploring innovative strategies (particularly the use of video technology) for promoting creative and critical thinking in online and residential classrooms.
Hello everyone. I wanted to take a few minutes to introduce myself more to you all so you will know more about me as your instructor. My name is Robert Ware, and I’m a full-time instructor at Rasmussen College, and First Year Experience Staff on the Brooklyn Park campus. Which means I’m here to help you with any questions that you may have. If I cannot answer them, I can get you to the right person. I have a Masters in Organizational Leadership through Crown College. My BA is in Education. Before Rasmussen I was a Behavior Dean for the Minneapolis School Districts. Currently outside of Rasmussen I’m Co-Founder of Real Athletics. Real Athletics is an organization that works on building leaders through athletics, and different types of mentoring programs. When I’m not working I’m spending time with my wife, and our 5 children. Yes I said 5 children! So we are very busy. I also like to workout, play basketball when I have the time, and also read. I look forward to this experience with you guys, and very excited to work with you. If you ever need to talk feel free to contact me. All the best
I am Faculty for the school of Technology and Design at Rasmussen College, Brooklyn Park, MN. I teach classes on computer hardware and software including Windows desktop and server operating systems. I also teach courses in network architecture and network security. I have an Active Directory network set up in my home that includes DHCP, file, and application servers. (I'd set up a print server if consumer inkjets could be installed on server operating systems.) Though I do not currently teach in these areas, I have knowledge and enjoy teaching MS Office and Algebra (I know, I'm weird). I have some very basic programming knowledge, though the majority of programming I've done was in Fortran in the mid nineties. I understand basic database principles and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Access. My personal interests include movies in general, but with an eye on Science Fiction and animation. I love the Minnesota Vikings and football in general. Baseball is okay. Video games are awesome; Xbox and Wii populate my house, though at times I miss some games on my PS2.
