I am currently a part-time Psychology faculty member in the School of Undergraduate Studies at Capella University where I have been teaching online since 2010. Prior teaching included undergraduate (Psychology) and graduate (Counseling) positions both online and in classrooms in Colorado and Florida. I earned my B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Counseling from Stetson University (FL).
I have been a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist since 1982, and currently maintain a private practice in Colorado in which I specialize in neurofeedback (EEG biofeedback) treatment of brain executive dysfunctions.
I am presently a 39 yo male residing in NW Louisiana. I have moved around to a few of the states and returned back to gain my Bachelor's in Psychology (Capella University) in efforts to attempt to help kids with inadvertently aiding our future since kids are the future of the species. They're more open, receptive, sensitive, and willing to embrace change; the one inevitable constant guaranteed in life. I am in Customer Service Mgmt presently looking to get into the field of Psych. I am recovering from an accident that has led me to managing the legalities portion on my own so far as well as hoping to unite others for creation and implementation of a federal law for innocent people after my experience that has drastically altered my quality of life...leaving my medical and physical state more "uncertain" than ever.
Third Grade Math, Science, Social Studies teacher.
I helped build Sophia and the team of talented people working together to create new ways to approach education. Sophia is a place where everyone can participate in teaching and learning, and where the traditional boundaries of schools and classrooms will fade into history. I joined Sophia in 2009 to help answer a question: “If we could create an online learning experience today, in the world of Facebook, YouTube and Wikipedia … what would it be like?” What a great way to start a company! I am proud of what the Sophia team has created. Join Sophia. Help someone learn. It makes for a better world.
