Grade(s): 9 / 10 / 11 / 12
I have been teaching for 17 years in high school and as an adjunct professor at several universities and colleges. I have taught AP Chemistry, AP physics, and all other levels of physical sciences. I love the interaction between students and science, as well as, watching the awe in their eyes as they discover new and exciting aspects of physics and chemistry. I utilize SOPHIA videos in my classroom on a regular basis as a means of explaining a topic in one more format, thereby, trying to reach every student in the classroom in one form or another.
I recently designed a curriculum for a class that is based upon advanced physics and engineering principles. The students must design, engineer, and fabricate a moonbuggy that meets the criteria setforth in the rules of The Great Moonbuggy Race that is held annually in Huntsville, AL. The students must also publish a design of their own as well. You can follow us at www.brhsmoonbuggy.com.
