Smith also plans the Foundation's Annual Scholarship Gala along with the Foundation director. She's responsible for soliciting, tracking, coordinating all elements associated with the Gala's auction, sponsorships and logistics. In addition, her Gala duties include coordinating various committees, developing public relations materials and executing all fundraising and special events related tasks Foundation and Alumni oriented.

Smith is currently enrolled as a graduate student at the International Center for Studies in Creativity at Buffalo State College where she hopes to obtain her master's in creative studies.

Smith founded a creativity consulting business called Jennaration Creative where she is working on developing a creativity curriculum at the two-year college level focused on the work of E. Paul Torrance.
