A middle school teacher for 40 years at the Black river Middle School in Chester, NJ, I have also been an adjunct professor at Centenary College since 1992 and Union County College since 1997. I taught as an adjunct professor for one year at the College of Saint Elizabeth. I am presently an Executive Board member and immediate past Co-president of NJCTE, a Core Team member of NJ Schools to Watch, a Leadership Team member of NJAMLE, a Team Director of the BRMS Drama Club, and a Co-advisor of the BRMS Video News Club. I am a writer and poet who has recently published "The Incorporation of Education" and is revising my NJASK ELA Grade 7 book for Barron's to fit the upcoming NJPARCC structure. I serve on the NJCTE English Journal Executive Board and serve as an evaluator for the NJCTE and NCTE Writing Contests. I am a member of the Scholastic National Teacher Advisory Board and a professional development workshop provider at the NJEA Teachers' Convention and the Union County College Adjunct Faculty Institute. A member of WWOR-TV Ch. 9's A+ for Teachers Hall of Fame, I am the President of Work Smart, Inc. I have served as a staff announcer at WRNJ-AM 1510 and presently serve in the same capacity at WNTI-FM 91.9.
