I am a high school English teacher from Pennsylvania. I currently teach in a school that is on a block schedule, so my lesson plans reflect an 84 minute period. Because of this I also teach a wide variety of classes. In the Fall semester, I usually teach one section of college prep 9th grade, one section of general English 11, and one section of general English 12. In the spring I replace 9th grade with my elective in Comparative Mythology that is open to 10th, 11th, and 12th grade. I hold a BA in professional writing from Kutztown University and worked as the director of public relations for a large company as well as the director development for a private school before earning my teaching certificate in 2005. I am moderator of the art club in my district and I am a professional metalsmith in my spare time. I love making jewelry andusing traditional blacksmithing techniques in different ways. I am a member of the SRJA and sell my works through various online venues. You can see and "fan" my work on Facebook at Ferrousious Jewelry.
