I am an environmental educator and lover of the outdoors. I have seven years of professional experience working for non-profits, governmental agencies and local governments in the areas of environmental education and community development. I earned my Bachelors degree in Biology and Dance from Bard College and jump-started my career as an AmeriCorps volunteer in DC. Serving with AmeriCorps led me to service with the PeaceCorps in Bolivia for two years. Upon returning, I taught environmental education to DC youth on the weekends and worked at an international development firm during the week. I returned to school and earned my Masters degree in Environmental Education and Interpretation from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point where I worked as an educator and summer program director for an environmental station. Currently, I reside in Takoma Park, MD and am working with a local dance company and the US Forest Service on a project called "Moving Field Guides." The project is in its pilot stages and engages participants in nature through outdoor exploration and movement.
