I graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering. I received my teaching certification from Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois in an accelerated math and science certification program. I started my teaching career at Thornwood High School in South Holland, IL. in 2006 and am still employed in the district. I currently teach general chemistry and AP chemistry. For the past three years I have been the Core Course Coordinator of my school which entails working with my chemistry colleagues to align our curriculum to the NGSS and to find innovative ways of modernizing our teaching methods. I have been using Sophia since the spring semester of 2013 and have been providing PD workshops on the use of Sophia to the teachers in my district. I am also a member of the Sophia Learning Teacher Advisory Board.
