Grade(s): 9 / 10 / 11 / 12
School: CLIO AREA HIGH SCHOOL, CLIO MI
I am in my sixth year of teaching at Clio High School in Clio, Michigan. I've never been afraid to try something new and jumped at the chance to try flipping my Algebra 1 classes during the 2012-2013 school year. Never before have I had so much one-on-one time with my students and opportunities to differentiate and meet their needs. I continually look for ways to improve what I'm doing in the classroom and incorporate technology in meaningful ways. During the 2013-2014 school year I will be implementing a mastery method for flipping which will be made easier with all that Sophia has to offer.

When I'm not in the classroom I'm a wife and mother of five! I enjoy spending time with my family listening to them make music, hanging out in the woods, and taking great joy in their sense of humor.
I am a high school mathematics teacher in Southern California who absolutely loves to make math meaningful and memorable to my students. I currently teach Algebra 1 to 9th and 10th graders, and Math Analysis Honors to 11th and 12th graders. I teach using a "Flipped Classroom" model, where my students receive instruction at home via video and then come to class ready to discuss, think and work together, and solve problems. Outside of teaching, I enjoy relaxing with my husband, reading fiction, going on walks, and watching our favorite shows on Hulu.
2014-2015 is my 15th year teaching high school math. This is the first year to flip my classroom. I am excited to try something new to freshen up my style and to help increase student performance. I would love to get back to presenting my classroom experiences at conferences like I did about 10 years ago.
Junior high special education mathematics teacher
I teach high school mathematics at Swartz Creek High School in Swartz Creek, Michigan. I am flipping my Algebra 2 classes this year and am excited to see how it unfolds for my students! It will be a great journey for all of us to take together!
My name is Jodi Warner. I am a teacher of the physical sciences and mathematics. I have taught for over 17 years. My favorite part of my job is helping others learn. When young people understand a new concept and find success it makes them feel good about themselves. One of my greatest joys is running into past students and seeing their happiness. My favorite hobbies are playing with my dogs, and horses, reading, walking, biking, knitting and skiing.
