Middle grade teacher (5-8 in a tiny rural K-8 school in southwestern Arizona. I love my position and my students! Seeking to share great lessons and ideas with other middle grade teachers in science (STEM), math, social studies, current events, geography, and language arts, as well as project-based learning projects and integrated technology.
I have been teaching Middle School Math since 2003. I earned my Master's degree in Bilingual Special Education from The George Washington University, and I currently hold an Advanced Professional Certificate in Special Education. I believe that technology is essential for for education in this digital age. I serve in the Prince George's County Public Schools' TEDL (Transforming Education into Digital Learning) team as an iEducator, a Teacher Leader, and a Flipped Classroom Facilitator. I use technology on a regular basis within my classroom. My school was chosen as one of four schools in the county to provide 1 to 1 ratio of iPads to students. We use these daily to communicate with each other and to complete assignments and projects. I truly enjoy creating learning materials through programs such as iMovie and apps such as ScreenChomp or ShowMe. The wealth of resources that have been made available on the web is truly astounding.
South Side of Chicago middle school science educator. I truly love science and have a drive to encourage my fellow junior scientists to pursue a career in science that will change our world. I am seeking to share science related lessons, resources, and ideas with other science educators. Peace, Love, Recycle, and Science!!!
