I Mr. Paul Ravuru, am working as Teacher & HOD for the Department of IT, teaching Cambridge program ICT, Computer Science and Accounting for IGCSE & A Level Students in Yew Wah International Education School of Yantai, Shandong, PRC since March, 2007. I also taught various subjects like Accounting and Finance, Developing Ethical values, Critical Thinking and Independent learning, Investigative Study, Applications of IT in Academic and Professional Contexts etc., in Yew Chung Community College for three years, online classes with Moodle.
I am also working with Cloud Computing and adapted teaching students’ trough wikis and blogs and modern flipped learning methods. My Students became Cambridge Outstanding in China in the year 2011, 2013 & 2014. I developed curriculum content for my regular class with Udemy, Google , Zoho, Wix, Edmodo, Sophia, Wikispaces etc., Some are made public and many are in private.
From 2012, as Power School Administrator @ District Level. I Setup Power School for Yantai Yew Wah, phase wise. Collected Data, Analyzed, Designed, Developed, Tested, Trained Administration Staff, Teachers, Implemented, Evaluated, and trying to improve by collecting feedback from all directions. During this process to help all the staff, I developed screen casted presentations & recorded short audio & video demonstrations on various topics related to Power School operations to simplify the common staff needs & distributed through share folder and uploaded in video sharing sites like YouTube, Vimeo, youku & tudou. And made it available through embedded videos through various websites like, http://powerteacher.weebly.com/. I organized in systematic order and made it available as a free online course through www.udemy.com/powerschool also experimenting with Curriculum, Content, Knowledge, Teaching & Learning Management Systems like http://ywies.talentlms.com/
I was Intel & Microsoft Certified Master Trainer. Partner In Learning Trainer with Microsoft. Edmodo Certified online Teacher, Udemy Certified Online Teacher, Sophia Certified Online Teacher And recently I was also qualified as K-12 Blended & Online Learning professional organized by Kennesaw State University USA. I am attending online educational conferences from 2012 onwards including the recent Global Education Conference. And attended online Global Education Conference for School Administrators. I am exploring & empowering myself with 21st century web teaching tools.

Bill Nye is a man with a mission: to foster a scientifically literate society by helping people everywhere understand and appreciate the science that makes our world work. Nye has spent the past 20 years educating students young and old about science and understands the importance of keeping minds active after the last school bell rings. “Learning can happen anywhere and at anytime – the important thing is that it should never stop,” Nye said. “We’ve put together fun, free and easy activities that will make this the summer of learning versus the summer filled with the dreaded words ‘I’m bored.’ ” AN EARLY KNACK FOR HOW THINGS WORK Making science entertaining and accessible is something Bill has done most of his life. Growing up in Washington, D.C., he spent afternoons and summers de-mystifying math for his classmates. While working for Boeing in Seattle, Bill combined his love of science with his flair for comedy. After winning a Steve Martin look-alike contest, he became an engineer by day and a stand-up comic by night. Eventually, Bill made the transition to comedy writer and performer on Seattle’s home-grown ensemble comedy show “Almost Live.” This is where “Bill Nye the Science Guy®” was born. The 18-time Emmy Award-winning show appeared before Saturday Night Live and later on Comedy Central. During this time, he also wrote five kids’ books about science, including his latest title, “Bill Nye’s Great Big Book of Tiny Germs.” BROADENING HIS MISSION Bill’s passion for math and science translated into a love of space. His role as CEO of The Planetary Society, the world’s large space interest organization, has taken him across the globe. And one thing Bill is very proud of is the MarsDials, two sundials on residing on Mars he created with Cornell scientists. America’s favorite stand-up scientist hasn’t changed much from that kid growing up in Washington, DC. He still rides his bike to work. He’ll pull out his Periodic Table of the Elements from his wallet. And his drive for helping others understand science is as strong as ever.
I have been teaching for 11 years now at Neil Armstrong Middle School in Forest Grove, OR. I received my undergraduate from Oregon State University, and my MAT from Pacific University. I teach English language arts, two sections of each regular and honors. I am in my third year of flipping my language arts classes and second year of going 1:1 with ipads. Our school has also been progressive in switching all of our proficiencies (we run a proficiency/mastery model) from our state standards to CCSS, Our middle school has also instituted STEM across the curriculum! Flipping has been my answer to save the bulk of my English curriculum while still fitting in the STEM approach. I am also one of two tech coaches in our building and I am very excited to see the transformation of the staff here at our school as well as our students as we utilize technology and pedagogy to engage and instruct our students. I recently wrote a chapter in the much anticipated followup to Bergman and Sams book on flipping called Flipping 2.0. My husband owns his own printing and art gallery in the Pearl in downtown Portland, so to say we aren't a super busy family is somewhat of an understatement! Wouldn't change it for the world though, life is good!
I graduated from Colorado State University with a B.S in Chemistry and Mathematics along with an education certification. My career began in Utah teaching junior high math and high school chemistry. I spent 22 years in the classroom as a science teacher in the Rosemount, Apple Valley, Eagan School District. I have taught physics, AP, honors, general and concept level Chemistry. Currently, I am a Professional Development Specialist working in the School of Education at Capella University. During the summer, I facilitate week long workshops for new and experienced chemistry teachers at Hamline University with Prof. Matt Morgan. As a team, we cover content as well as current best practices in the science classroom including inquiry and digital resources. I am also employed by the College Board as an AP Chemistry Consultant where I facilitate day-long to week-long workshops for classroom teachers. I believe one of the best ways to improve my professional practice is to network with teachers from all over the country and I enjoy the opportunities this provides.
