I am just an average Midwestern guy spreading some knowledge about the human body. I received my B.A. from the University of Wisconsin Superior and my M.A. from the College of St Scholastica. Right now. The classes I teach are: anatomy & physiology, pathophysiology, medical terminology, medical law & ethics, kinesiology. I started making these videos as supplements to the classroom a few months ago and have many more to make. In my spare time I play table tennis for the St Adalberts Table Tennis Club (SATTC) and also for the Duluth Table Tennis Club (DTTC). I also like to run, bike, swim, cook and read Stephen King novels when I get a chance.

My name is Laura Riness. I consider myself a life-long learner. From the time I was old enough to know what I wanted to be "when I grew up" I had my sights set on the field of education. I used to line my dolls and stuffed animals up on the couch and "teach" them for hours at a time. I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Development (Child & Family Services concentration) from South Dakota State University, Brookings, SD. My Master of Science Degree is in Professional Counseling/Student Affairs, and I earned this degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato, MN. Additionally, I earned a PhD in Psychology at Capella University, Minneapolis. I have worked in the fields of education, or human/family services since I attained my bachelor's degree. I have found I enjoy working with adult learners the most, and I especially enjoy online education. My ideal job will blend my passions (technology, education, and research) and allow me to feed my creative nature. Sophia is my idea of heaven on earth!
I am a high school mathematics teacher in Southern California who absolutely loves to make math meaningful and memorable to my students. I currently teach Algebra 1 to 9th and 10th graders, and Math Analysis Honors to 11th and 12th graders. I teach using a "Flipped Classroom" model, where my students receive instruction at home via video and then come to class ready to discuss, think and work together, and solve problems. Outside of teaching, I enjoy relaxing with my husband, reading fiction, going on walks, and watching our favorite shows on Hulu.
