I graduated from Texas A&M University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and a Minor in Biology. I taught 6th-10th grades in the public school system including Life Science, Earth Science, General Science, Physical Education, Foundations of Physical Education and Health for 10 years before having my children in 2000. After staying home with my two children, Austin and Katie, for 6 years I went back into teaching in 2006 at Prestonwood Christian Academy and began working toward my Masters Degree in Counseling. I graduated from the University of North Texas in 2009 with a Master of Education degree in Counseling and began working toward my professional counseling license (LPC) in 2010. Currently, I am teaching 7th Grade Science at Prestonwood Christian Academy and volunteering as a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern, under the supervision of Dr. Kimberly Doyle, Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor.
