With the Workforce Edge Spanish for Business course, you can build skills and confidence to converse in Spanish, decreasing language barriers in the workplace.
Course Overview
The Spanish for Business course is an online, self-paced course that aims to increase Spanish language proficiency. It includes units that teach foundational Spanish, including words and phrases commonly used in the workplace. You will learn grammar, basic vocabulary and pronunciation to grow your ability to communicate in Spanish.

- Use the correct forms of nouns, pronouns, articles and adjectives.
- Communicate in complete sentences using proper verb forms.
- Greet Spanish-speaking coworkers and communicate basic workplace information.

- Compare the Spanish alphabet to the English alphabet.
- Identify the sound(s) made by each Spanish letter.
- Differentiate multiple sounds made by the same letter.
- Indicate which syllable in a word will receive the stress.
- Practice the pronunciation rules you learned in this unit.
- Identify the meanings of commonly used Spanish nouns.
- Select the correct adjective form to agree with a noun based on gender and number.
- Compare the placement of descriptive adjectives in English and Spanish.
- Use the correct adjective of quantity in a given context.

Use your tuition assistance funds to cover the cost of this course
Step 1:
Verify your eligibility to receive tuition assistance funds with EdAssist, CVS Health’s third party education assistance provider. Colleague Zone > My Applications > CVS Health Tuition Assistance Program/EdAssist
- Complete a new application with EdAssist. When completing the application, select “Certificate” as the education program, “Spanish” as the area of study, and “Certificate – DIRECT BILL SEI Spanish/Nursing” as the employer program. The education provider will default to “Capella University SEI – Spanish/Nursing Cert. Program.” Select Continue. Start date is when you want to begin the program. End date is 60 days from your chosen start date. Course name: Spanish for Business, course number is simply “Certificate.” The cost of the program is $750.
- Upon application approval from EdAssist, submit your Letter of Credit (LOC) to CVSHSkills@strategiced.com to receive access to the Spanish course.
