The American Council on Education (ACE®) is a non-profit higher education association and the major coordinating body for accredited U.S. colleges and universities. When ACE recommends a course for credit, it has been evaluated by ACE's expert faculty teams—which means that many schools may accept it toward degree requirements.

As a Sophia member, you don’t pay for individual courses. Instead, you can take as many courses as you like—up to two at a time—for a $99 monthly membership fee.
